Stitch Fix offers exchanges during checkout. Learn more below about the types of exchanges we offer and what you can expect after you request one.

Exchanging items for a different size

During checkout, you can choose to exchange items in your Fix. We offer exchanges for:

Order an exchange using the “Exchange” option in your online checkout. The sizes listed are what’s currently available in our inventory. You’ll be charged for the exchange when you complete your checkout. Please include the original item in your prepaid mailing envelope to return along with any other items within the three business day return window.

Your size isn’t available for exchange

If the size you’re hoping to exchange for isn’t available, you may choose to keep or return the item you received. Please be sure to leave a note for your Stylist about the fit of each item so that they can keep this in mind when styling your next Fix.

Exchanging items for a different color, style or exchanging an Extras item

We do not currently offer exchanges for:

  • The same item in a different color or pattern
  • A different style or item
  • Extras

If you’d like to try a different color or style, please let your Stylist know by leaving feedback or in your next Fix note. Your Stylist will do their best to send it in your next shipment. You can also let your Stylist know if you are open to a similar style of item, if the exact one you received is not available in different colors.

If you ordered an Extra and would prefer it in a different size or color, please return the item you received. In your next Fix delivery, you can add the Extra in a different color or size.

What to expect with your exchange

When your exchange will ship:

You’ll receive an email confirmation with a USPS tracking link once your exchange ships, generally within one week of placing your order. If you’re expecting multiple items, they’ll ship separately.

If your exchange doesn’t fit or you change your mind:

If you’re not completely satisfied with your exchanged item, please contact us so we can assist you with a return. We’re unable to accept returned items more than 30 days after your purchase. Please make sure any returned item has all original packaging and tags. This includes any branded bags for footwear and boxes for jewelry.
