Stitch Fix offers exchanges during Fix checkout and for items purchased from your Shop tab. Learn more below about the types of exchanges we offer and what you can expect after you request one.
Exchanging items for a different size
We offer exchanges for:
- Fix items and items from your Shop tab
- Different sizes for items in your shipment
- Replacements for damaged items
Order an exchange using the “Exchange” option during your Fix checkout. The sizes listed are what’s currently available in our inventory. You’ll be charged for the exchange when you complete your checkout. Please include the original item in your prepaid mailing envelope to return along with any other items within the three business day return window.
Shop tab purchases
Exchange items purchased from your Shop tab by selecting them on the Your Items page. You’ll see an option to exchange when:
- You purchased the item from the Shop tab (Fix items won’t include an exchange option).
- You purchased the item less than 30 days ago.
Here’s how to exchange:
- Go to Your Items.
- Click on the item you’d like to exchange.
- Inside the item, click "Exchange item."
- Select the new size or color if available.
You’ll be charged for the exchange when you hit the “Submit” button. To be refunded for the original piece, send it back within 30 days of purchase using the prepaid return label included in your package. If you no longer have your return label, contact us to request a printable one. Please allow up to two weeks for the refund to appear back on your original payment method.
Exchanging items for a different color, style or exchanging an Extras item
We do not currently offer exchanges for:
- The same item in a different color or pattern
- A different style or item
- Extras—if you ordered an Extra and would prefer it in a different size or color, please return the item you received. In your next Fix delivery, you can add the Extra in a different color or size.
What to expect with your exchange
When your exchange will ship:
You’ll receive an email confirmation with a USPS tracking link once your exchange ships, generally within one week of placing your order. If you’re expecting multiple items, they’ll ship separately.
If your exchange doesn’t fit or you change your mind:
If you’re not completely satisfied with your exchanged item, please contact us so we can assist you with a return. We’re unable to accept returned items more than 30 days after your purchase. Please make sure any returned item has all original packaging and tags. This includes any branded bags for footwear and boxes for jewelry.
