We want to ensure that finding the right pieces for your wardrobe is as seamless as possible. Whether you're sending back items from a recent Fix or returning a Freestyle purchase that wasn't quite right, we’ve made the process simple and efficient.
How to return unwanted unpurchased Fix items
After receiving your Fix delivery, you have 3 days to decide what you want to keep. After trying on your items, complete your checkout and then use the included return bag to send back any unwanted items.
- Select Check out from the homepage of your account
- For each item, select either Return, Exchange or Keep
- Select Review your order and then select Submit order
- Choose the return shipping option that works best for you. You can either:
- Use the included prepaid label within your Fix shipment
- Choose an alternative return option, if available—either print a prepaid label or get a printerless QR code to ship it back
- We’ll send you a follow-up email with return instructions
- Place your unwanted items into the prepaid return envelope included in your Fix
- Drop your return off at the correct carrier location
- FedEx - FedEx Office, FedEx Ship Centers, Walgreens, Dollar General, or secured FedEx Drop Box
- USPS - United States Post Office or USPS mailbox
Once you've dropped off your return, you’re all set! We’ll only reach out if we haven't received your items in a timely manner.
How to return a previously purchased Stitch Fix Freestyle™ item
If a previously purchased item isn't a perfect fit, you can return it within 30 days of the purchase date. If you still have your original shipping bag along with the prepaid label we included, you can simply use those to send the item(s) back. Otherwise, take the following steps:
- Select your profile icon with your initial
- Select Orders & returns
- Locate the Freestyle order that contains the item you want to return
- Select the option to View details or return items
- Select the item(s) you wish to return and select Continue
- Review your order and select Submit
- Choose the alternate return method option for sending back the unwanted item(s)
- Printerless: Select to receive a QR code that can be scanned at the corresponding carrier location
- Printable Label: Select to download and print a new prepaid label.
- Regardless of your choice, we’ll send an email with your updated return details and instructions
- Place your unwanted item(s) back in the packaging and return using your chosen shipping option

Additional Information
Returning a purchased Fix item: If you need to return a purchased Fix item and no longer have the original return bag and prepaid label, please contact our Support team over chat, text or email to request a return.
Missing Envelope: If you no longer have your prepaid return envelope, you can use any plain box or mailer to send your items back to us.
Original Packaging: Please ensure all items are returned with their original tags and packaging, including branded footwear bags or jewelry boxes.
Refund Timeline: Please allow up to 14 business days for us to receive your return and process your refund to your original payment method.
Adjusted Discount: If you no longer qualify for a promotional offer or discount after making a return, the discount amount may be taken out of your refund.
