How to refer friends and family to receive Stitch Fix credit

We want to make it simple and convenient to share your unique referral link as a way to earn credit towards your purchases.

Referring Friends and Family

  1. Log in to your account
  2. On the top right-hand corner of your navigation bar, select Refer & get $25
    • iOS App Users: from the account menu, select Credit & refer friends
  3. Copy your link and paste it wherever you like, send your link by email, or share through one of the social options provided

How Referral Credit Works

  • After you’ve checked out from your first Fix, your personal referral link becomes active. 
  • Once your friend receives their first Fix and completes their checkout, you’ll also receive a credit to your Stitch Fix account.
  • Credit automatically applies toward your next charge, whether it's a purchase or the styling fee of an upcoming Fix.
  • To confirm who’s signed up and if you’ve received credit, check your Referrals page.

Additional Referral Credit Information

  • Expiring Credit: If you receive a message from us letting you know that your referral credit is expiring, then it’s time to schedule a Fix! The email you received contains information about your expiration timing.
  • Referral Limit: You can earn up to $599 in referral credit each calendar year due to US tax regulations.


How account credit is applied to purchases

We automatically apply any available account credit to your order before charging your saved payment method, making the checkout process simple.

How Your Credit Is Used

Any remaining balance you have from gift cards, referrals, or promotional credits is automatically applied to your purchases.

The credit is applied to:

  1. Styling Fees: Your credit will be used to cover the cost of the styling fee for any upcoming Fix.
    • This credit is then applied at checkout and helps pay for what you keep. 
  2. Item Purchases: Any remaining credit is then applied at checkout to cover the cost of the items you choose to keep from your Fix or any purchases made through Freestyle.

What to Expect at Checkout

  • If your credit covers the total cost: No charge will be placed on your default payment method.
  • If your credit does not cover the total cost: The credit will be fully applied, and the remaining outstanding balance will be charged to your saved payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.).

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Family Accounts: Family accounts share credit, so it will automatically be applied to the next purchase or styling fee, regardless of profile. 
  • Returns: If you return an item that was paid with credit, we will refund the amount back to your account balance.
