Stitch Fix offers exchanges for items purchased from your Shop tab and items you receive in your Fix but haven't yet purchased. Learn more below about the types of exchanges we offer and what you can expect after you request one.
We offer exchanges for:
- A different size for an item you receive in your Fix, during checkout
- A different size for an item purchased from your Shop tab
- Replacements for damaged items
If you've already checked out for a Fix item and need to exchange it for a different size, you can to see if we have a replacement available. We can also provide a prepaid, printable label with which to return your original item.
Exchange during Fix checkout
Order an exchange using the “Exchange” option during your Fix checkout. The sizes listed are what’s currently available in our inventory. You’ll be charged for the exchange when you complete your checkout. Please include the original item in your prepaid mailing envelope to return along with any other items within the three business day return window.
Exchange a purchased Shop item
- You purchased the item from the Shop tab (Fix items won’t include an exchange option).
- You purchased the item less than 30 days ago.
To purchase your exchange:
- Go to your Orders page.
- Click on the item you’d like to exchange.
- Inside the item, click "Exchange."
- Select the new size or color if available.
- Click "Submit" to checkout for the new item. You will be charged for the exchange at this time.
To return your original item:
- Please make sure your item has all original packaging and tags. This includes any branded bags for footwear and boxes for jewelry.
- Use the label included with your Shop delivery to return your items. There's no need to include additional information with the item.
- If you no longer have your return label, to request a printable one.
- Please allow up to 14 business days for the refund to appear back on your original payment method.
Exchanging an Extras item
If you ordered an Extra and would prefer it in a different size or color, please return the item you received. In your next Fix delivery, you can add the Extra in a different color or size.
What to expect with your exchange
When your exchange will ship:
You’ll receive an email confirmation with a USPS tracking link once your exchange ships, generally within one week of placing your order. If you’re expecting multiple items, they’ll ship separately.
If your exchange doesn’t fit or you change your mind:
If you’re not completely satisfied with your exchanged item, please so we can assist you with a return. We’re unable to accept returned items more than 30 days after your purchase. Please make sure any returned item has all original packaging and tags. This includes any branded bags for footwear and boxes for jewelry.
