How to return unwanted unpurchased Fix items
After receiving your Fix delivery, you have 3 days to decide what you want to keep. After trying on your items, complete your checkout and then use the included return bag to send back any unwanted items.
- Select Check out from the homepage of your account
- For each item, select either Return, Exchange or Keep
- Select Review your order and then select Submit order
- Choose the return shipping option that works best for you. You can either:
- Use the included prepaid USPS label within your Fix shipment
- Choose FedEx to either print a prepaid label or get a printerless QR code to ship it back
- We’ll send you a follow-up email with return instructions
Regardless of the option you choose, use the envelope included in your Fix delivery to send back your items.
After you drop off your returns, we’ll take care of the rest! You'll only hear from us if we haven't received your returns in a timely manner.
No Return Envelope? If you no longer have your Fix return envelope or it’s missing, you can simply use your original Fix box or any other small box or envelope.
How to return a previously purchased Fix item
If you've purchased an item from a Fix and decide it's not quite right, we can certainly help you with a return. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to return the item.
Returning Purchased Items
If you still have your original return bag along with the prepaid USPS label we included, you can simply use those to send the item(s) back. Otherwise, take the following steps:
- Contact our Support team over chat, text or email to request a return.
- If you’re with our return policy window, we will provide you with a prepaid, printable return label.
- Place the item(s) you wish to return, along with all original packaging and tags, in a suitable box or envelope.
- This includes any branded bags for footwear and jewelry boxes.
- Print the label and affix it to the package.
- Drop your return off at any United States Post Office or USPS mailbox.
Please allow up to 14 business days for your return to be received and the refund to appear back on your original payment method.
How to return a previously purchased Stitch Fix Freestyle™ item
We offer a standard 30-day return policy for all purchases, including items ordered directly from your Stitch Fix Freestyle™ shop.
How to Initiate a Return
If you still have your original shipping bag along with the prepaid USPS label we included, you can simply use those to send the item(s) back. Otherwise, take the following steps:
- Log in to your Stitch Fix account
- Select your profile icon with your initial
- Select Orders
- iOS App Users: Select Orders & returns
- Locate the Freestyle order that contains the item you want to return
- Select the option to View details or return items
- Select the item(s) you wish to return and select Continue
- Review your order and select Submit
- Choose your preferred return shipping option for sending back the unwanted item(s)
- USPS: Use the included prepaid label
- FedEx: You can get a printerless QR code or print a label
- Place your unwanted item(s) back in the packaging and return using your chosen shipping option
Note: if you’ve selected FedEx as your return option, we’ll send you an email with your return details.
Additional information
- Please make sure your item has all original packaging and tags. This includes any branded bags for footwear and boxes for jewelry.
- Please allow up to 14 business days for your return to be received and the refund to appear back on your original payment method.
- You’ll no longer see the option to return or exchange the item if it’s been more than 30 days since the purchase date. This timing aligns with our 30 day return policy.
How to review your returns and refunds
Tracking Your Return
Based on the return method you choose to use, you can track your return in one of two ways:

Receiving Your Refund
After we receive your return, we'll process the refund back to your original payment method.
- If you partially paid with Stitch Fix credit, any funds charged to your saved payment method are refunded first; the remainder returns to your account credit balance.
- Please allow up to 14 business days for your return to be received and the refund to appear.
- If your refund is delayed beyond 14 business days, please contact our Support team over chat, text or email.
Quick Note on Discounts
If you no longer qualify for a promotional offer or discount after making a return, the discount amount may be taken out of your refund.
