We are happy to help you exchange an item purchased through our Freestyle shop for a different size or color! Exchanges are subject to availability and must be initiated through your order history within 30 days of the purchase date.


How to Request an Exchange

  1. Log in to your Stitch Fix account
  2. Select the profile icon with your initial
  3. Select Orders 
  4. Locate the specific Freestyle order that contains the item you want to exchange
  5. Select View details or return items
  6. Select Return or exchange
  7. Select the item you wish to exchange and choose the option to Exchange
  8. Select the desired size or color from the available options
  9. Complete your purchase to confirm your exchange

You will need to rebuy the item in order to confirm the exchange. Then we will refund you for the original item once we receive and process your return. 


After Completing An Exchange Request

  • Shipping: You will receive a separate shipping notification and tracking number once it ships.
  • Returning the Original Item: You must return the original, incorrect item to us using the return label included in your order or generated during the exchange process.
  • Watch for a Refund: Once your original item has been returned and processed your original form of payment will be refunded. Please allow up to 14 business days for your return to be received and your refund processed. 


Our Exchange Policy

  • Time Limit: Exchanges must be requested within 30 days of your purchase date.
  • Condition: The item must be unworn, unwashed, and have all original tags attached.
  • Availability: Exchanges are dependent on inventory availability in our warehouses. If the item is out of stock in your desired size or color, we will process a refund upon the return of your item.
